UC San Diego's Mandeville Auditorium is San Diego's leading mid-size performance venue. This 752 seat space is suitable for a full range of performing arts including dance, concerts, and theater, as well as special events such as conferences and lectures. The auditorium has hosted productions that include Wynton Marsalis, MOMIX, John Lithgow, David Sedaris, the Kronos Quartet, Ravi Shankar, and Spike & Mike's Festival of Animation. Local groups that take advantage of the venue include La Jolla Symphony & Chorus, and UC San Diego's Wind Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, and Gospel Choir.

Mandeville Auditorium is conveniently situated near Interstate 5, only minutes from most San Diego locations. With its 42-foot-wide by 30-foot-deep stage opening, comfortable seating, flexible lighting grid, and professional audio system, the auditorium is ideal for your event. Front rows can be reconfigured to accommodate tables or an alternative seating plan. Easy load-in is assured thanks to wide side doors and a spacious loading dock with adjacent freight elevator. Professional production staff are available to ensure a smooth experience.

Designed by prominent Southern California architect A. Quincy Jones and completed in 1975, Mandeville Auditorium stands out among UC San Diego's early modernist and "brutalist" buildings. Creeping vines climb its concrete walls and the building is shaded by mature eucalyptus trees.
